Why used is particularly smart
Children quickly grow out of this phase. Three months later, a book might already be too simple and replaced by early reader books. Used children's books allow you to spontaneously react to new interests. Today a pirate book, tomorrow a farm, the day after tomorrow dinosaurs. Those who buy new often have to prioritize three interests at once and make compromises.
The path to independent reading

A practical tip: Children in this phase can often express wishes about which book they want to hear. Let them participate in browsing our selection; this greatly fosters a love of reading. If three or four books end up in the shopping cart, the child should definitely have a say.
