Dark Angel is a 3-D scrolling fighting game based on the TV series of the same name. You play Dark Angel, a sexy DNA-enhanced super-soldier and fight through various levels using your bionic abilities. The game basically consists of fighting and more fighting, using basic repeated button taps for kicks and punches, all leading up to a rather dull rage attack. The inclusion of a stealth element to the game play does nothing to lift the tedium; it has all the hallmarks of Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell but none of the sophistication. You do have an added first-person sniper attack that enables you to zoom in and take out baddies with a limited amount of fuss. Unfortunately Dark Angel is a game that has no real wow factor; it has nothing new to offer and leaves you feeling unimpressed and disappointed. It may well appeal to fans of the series or Jessica Alba, but even thats stretching it. --Rob Holiday
