Description
Swingin' At The Speakeasy is a 3CD / 62 track download compilation of jazz and swing capturing the roaring sound from the 1920's & 1930’s. It brings together classic tracks from the likes of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and many other great musicians and bands who defined an era. The 1920s was the art-deco decade, the era of prohibition, of spats and pin-striped suits, of boas, bowties and bounders - and above all it was the era of some truly great and ground-breaking music. Spilling out of the speakeasy dive-bars of New York and Chicago came a new and liberating sound – the sound of ‘The Charleston’ and the sound of swingin’, sizzling Jazz.
