Commemorating 20 years since the death of Carlo Van Neste (1914-92), this 5CD box is a homage to this worthy representative of the Belgian violin school and one of the great Belgian violinists of international repute. His concert tours through Belgium, the Netherlands, England and France commenced at age 12, and he made his first recording for Columbia in 1928. He pursued advanced studies in Belgium with Eugne Ysae and in Paris with Jacques Thibaud and Georges Enesco. His global touring schedule saw him perform with the worlds great orchestras under its most distinguished conductors.
