One summer's evening in July 1952 Norman Granz gathered together some of the greatest jazz musicians of their generation to 'JAM' and record without audience in Hollywood, CA. "The Charlie Parker Sessions" were the first to be recorded with the crème de la crème of the mid-fifties USA jazz: Ray Brown, Charlie Shavers, erson & Ben Webster to name 4 of 9. Another summer's evening one year later in 1953 Granz organized and recorded were "The Count Basie Sessions" with Benny Carter, Stan Getz, & Buddy DeFranco to name 4 of 9. The final sessions were for "The Roy Eldridge - Dizzy Gillespie Sessions" feat. Oscar erson, Lionel Hampton & Buddy Rich. It's Jazz Best.
