Pick of the Pops is a two hour show every Saturday on BBC Radio 2 which looks at the charts of yesteryear. Each week the presenter picks a couple of years and chooses some chart highlights from the same week in those years, transporting the listener back to that year and counting down the charts as if it were happening in real time.
The album focuses on three CDs of 60’s, 70’s and 80’s tracks compiled by the show’s producer Phil Swern.
