Modal Existential Nihilism: Its Truth and Practical Consistency

Modal Existential Nihilism: Its Truth and Practical Consistency

0 - Default Title
Description
If life is without justification a priori, which is in itself; the mere fact that I think a certain thing makes life meaningful cannot make it so. In order to create justification for life, man is required to step out of life itself, life which is intrinsically meaningless. This "stepping out" (As Nietzsche would say "distancing oneself,") as much as it enables us to create a justification, it simultaneously shows us that life is intrinsically meaningless. It is this discordance that expresses the absurdity of life, which I deem the existentialists try to transcend by undertaking the second phase (the constructive phase.) But, as I have said, every bid for transcendence ends with absurdity; for the subject, in the attempt to create meaning for life, is always external to life, and realizes the intrinsic meaninglessness of life.
