These four records in particular have become firm family favourites over the years, and are still heard regularly on Radio Two.Malcolm Vaughan was originally one half of a duo which toured the theatres during the early Fifties. Vaughan provided the vocal aspects of the act while his partner Kenny Early was the comic. Walter J Ridley, who was the recording manager for EMI's flagship His Master's Voice label, caught the act one day at the Chiswick Empire in west London and promptly signed up the Welsh tenor.Successes came very quickly and Vaughan's first hit single Every Day Of My Life reached number five in the summer of 1955 and remained in the charts for four months. With Your Love peaked at number 18 but then St. Therese Of The Roses soared to number three and remained in the best-sellers for 19 weeks. Other hits followed including Chapel Of The Roses, The World ls Mine, To Be Loved, Wait For Me and Willingly...
