Hadi Haraji: Iranian Doors

Hadi Haraji: Iranian Doors

0 - Default Title
Description
Haraji’s travels as a professional photographer across Iran meant that he invariably had to ring a doorbell, sound a knocker, or pass through a hotel entrance to take up his accommodation for an evening. This fact drew his attention to the endless variety of doors that seemed to act as a boundary between the familiar and unfamiliar. The fruits of his investigation are presented in this photographic essay which depicts approximately 100 doors, or elements thereof – each characteristic of the proprietor’s poverty or opulence, some plain and simple, others decorated with exquisite motifs and designs. 120 pages / 16 x 16 cm
