Burgess Meredith would achieve lasting fame in support roles in both Batman and Rocky, yet as the films in this collection prove, he was an extremely talented performer in his own right. Whilst many will instantly recognise him as either The Penguin in the television series Batman, or as trainer Mickey Goldmill in Rocky, he made virtually every role he played his own, and was also a more than capable director in his own. This collection includes Winterset, his film debut, The Man On The Eiffel Tower (his directorial debut) and Second Chorus, which also stars his one time wife Paulette Goddard.
