Gezeigt werden u.a. die Norweger Johan Christian Dahl und Edvard Munch, die Skagen-Maler Anna Ancher und Peder Severin Kr?yer, die Niederl?nder Piet Mondrian und Jan Toorop und deutsche K?nstler wie Max Liebermann und Otto Mueller. So werden einhundert Jahre Malerei pr?sentiert, in denen sich bedeutende k?nstlerische Entwicklungen der Moderne Bahn brachen.
In 2019, the Museum Kunst der Westk?ste is celebrating its tenth anniversary! The MKdW is dedicated to maritime art created between 1830 and 1930 in the four countries bordering the North Sea: Norway, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. The anniversary exhibition reveals the entire spectrum of the museum's holdings and is complemented by works from other top-class collections. A century of painting is thus presented in which important artistic developments of the modern era broke new ground.
