They fight Void-Walkers and a Sound-Eraser that deletes sound and kinetic energy, forcing them to learn to fight in absolute silence.Finally reaching the core, Kaelen dives into the Dragon's Subconscious, reliving the horrific Redaction of Onyx's White Dragon mate, Lumina. Varrick stole her name, leaving Onyx with infinite grief but no memory-a madness Kaelen must heal. Kaelen must defeat his own inner demons-The Coward, The Unbroken, The Tyrant, The Greedy, The Machine-the physical manifestations of their worst selves. To free Onyx, Kaelen has to use his Quill not for battle, but for an act of empathy, carving the name LUMINA into the Dragon's soul to return his memory of the loss.Waking the Black Dragon releases a power that shatters the Spire, healing the rot and revealing Onyx as the Guardian of Memory.
