Description
FRENCH IMPORT - "Melted fake plastic is a kaleidoscopic record with a blend of warmth and deepness. The debut album bretzel arabesque was instrumental, introspective, and abyssal, the second is playful, extraverted and pop. The Stuntman5 sound that was established on the first LP is here coloured with bright melodies and voices. Like the sleeve of the record, sounds were mixed, sculpted, and turned into a rich and dense sound material, based on noisy guitars, looped flutes, a nonchalant choir, tortured keyboards and beats, bursting and breaking. This whole (de) construction was elaborated last year, and was to be an instrumental album with a few featuring vocalists and ended up being a talkative record with the collaboration of the patriotic Sunday and Moot & Lisp. Whether it's Christian Bagnalasta's (aka Stuntman5) voice supported by the patriotic sunday on backing vocals and absurd spoken word pieces or the American rap duo Moot & Lisp, that tightens, with their flows, the hip hop edge of "exit stencil shift" and "your movie mint", the vocals always dance around the tunes and sound of accents and words, turned into a nonsense playground."
