Description
The story of two very different men, each relentlessly pursing very different lives but both bound for destruction. The one, David Campbell, a likeable but lonely young man, witnesses his family suffer as a result of the Russian Revolution and the effects of International Communism. The hatred this generates over-rides all patriotic feeling as he watches with horror the tide of war turn and realises that the defeat of Germany at the hands of the Russians will lead in turn to the eventual occupation of all Europe by the Stalinist hordes. Throughout the war he transmits vital information to his country's foes in the belief that stopping Stalin is more important than defeating Hitler. The other man knows no principles, being driven only by perverted sexual passion and the need to gratify his desire for the power of life and death. Operating in blacked-out Glasgow, he strikes terror into a whole community. Both escape detection, but both die of a broken neck.
