Airports and Air Traffic

0 - Default Title
Description
The current worldwide trend towards airport privatisation, the increasing shortage of airport capacity as well as the first experiences with EC airline deregulation have led to a shift in the industry's attention to the regulatory framework for the operation, expansion and conduct of airports as well as to the future shape of the airline and airport industries. This book contributes expertise to this debate by exploring in depth the economic policy framework of airport regulation in Germany and the EC, taking into account the competitive dynamics of air traffic as well as the regulation and liberalisation of international air transport. Essentially, the book contains the proceedings of an international conference on ?Airports and Air Traffic. Regulation, Privatisation, and Competition?, held in Hamburg on February 25-26, 1998, and jointly organized by the University of Hamburg, the State Ministry of Economics of Hamburg, the FHG, and the HWWA.
