The rope-maker’s son, Tony, has injured his leg; the oldest of the village is weakened by his age; and the blind blacksmith is not likely to make the difficult trek down. They are anxiously waiting to be rescued, but they are running out of options.

Efter ett förödande jordskred, tvingas människorna i en liten bergsby, att lämna sina förstörda hem och ge sig av på en svår resa ner mot dalen.
En oväntad trio tvingas emellertid att stanna kvar och vänta på hjälp. Repmakarens son, Tony, som har skadat sitt ben; byns äldsta invånare, som är för svag på grund av sin ålder; och den blinda smeden, som troligen inte kan klara av den svåra resan ner. De tre, väntar oroligt på att bli räddade, men alternativen håller på att ta slut.
Även om de har alla odds emot sig, tar de tre kamraterna mod till sig och beger sig av. Under den farliga re-san, litar de på varandra och bidrar alla med det lilla de har kvar.
