Ray Palmer spent 11 years in the Paras serving in, Europe, Singapore and Northern Ireland until 1979.In 'Civvy Street' he briefly worked in security and met his future wife. As an accomplished musician (keyboards, clarinet, saxophone) he worked the clubs and developed his own stage act. He's also appeared in TV supporting roles, ironically, playing a Military Policeman in Soldier Soldier. In 1993 he formed his own music retail business. He gained a Guinness world record in 2006 for the longest sustained note on a wind instrument. His hobbies: playing football, model railways, music, cooking and writing.
