Oscar erson defined the modern mainstream jazz piano style, with albums such as Night Train and We Get Requests providing a template for all other jazz piano trios to follow. He was also a masterful accompanist, working with singers such as Ella Fitzgerald. This  two CD collection (two for the price of one) draws on his Verve and Concord recordings, and presents the greatest moments from his back catalogue.
