Description
The book "Folklore Traditions in the Works of V.I. Dal" is devoted to the study of the influence of the folklore of the Ural Cossacks, Kazakhs, and Bashkirs on the work of the Russian writer and ethnographer. The author makes comparisons with folklore sources and, for the first time, compares the work with the Kazakh epic. In the "Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language," the author found elements of folklore works heard in Western Kazakhstan. The author examines folklore traditions from many angles. In the story "Bikey and Mauliana," V.I. Dal creates an epic picture, in the story 'Maina' he includes folk humor, and in the essay "Ural Cossack" he emphasizes the social position of the characters and creates lyrical images. "The Bashkir Mermaid" is based on a folk legend. The author emphasizes that the folklore of the Cossacks, Kazakhs, and Bashkirs helped the writer create original works. V.I. Dal fully embraced the folk worldview. The influence of the culture of the Urals on his work and activities is enormous.
