A Wind In Summer

0 - Default Title
Description
Geoffrey Blair is a doctor in the Yorkshire Dales. A widower with two sons, his life is comfortably settled until he is drawn to the lovely Catherine Wills, a girl of poorer background but great ambition. Their life together, and the lives of their children, are the focus of a novel which shows a country in war and peace, a country and a family confused by shifting values, public and private turmoil. As the younger generation tries its wings, Catherine has to come to terms with her role - as wife, stepmother and mother. Into the lives she loves will come the pain of rejection and the joy of passion as the lessons of the past are neglected, the warnings of the future go unheard.
