For over 40 years Muddy Waters brought his own brand of blues to the world. First recorded by the great Alan Lomax in 1941, Muddy Waters was then playing harmonica. He switched to guitar some 4 years later and in 1948 released the double A side "I Can't Be Satisfied" and "I Feel Like Going Home" - his use of amplified guitar along with his rustic vocals changed the sound of traditional music for ever. The first studio album takes in the period between 1947 and 1955 and was recorded in Chicago being produced by Phil Chess and or Willy Dixon. It features many of Muddy's best recordings. The second disc was recorded in Warsaw, Poland in 1976 and features most of the line up Johnny Winter used for his "Hard Again " album.
