Ich habe weder polnische Vorfahren noch einen Onkel im Bund der Vertriebenen. Ich komme einfach nur aus Wuppertal. Während des Studiums habe ich aus Spaß einen Polnisch-Sprachkurs in Krakau gemacht. Dort war es toll, ganz anders, als ich erwartet hatte. In den Geschäften gab es alles, sogar Nutella, und die Menschen waren so offen. Ich beschloss, nach Polen auszuwandern und habe es in dreizehn Jahren keinen einzigen Tag lang bereut. Vor allem die Mentalität der Polen hat es mir angetan, diese Mischung aus Anarchie und Freiheit, Absurdität und Warmherzigkeit. Es soll mir niemand mehr sagen, er wüsste nicht, wo das gelobte Land liegt. Viva Polonia!
