Description
This new Intermediate Course helps the student who has completed a beginner's course over the difficult transition to intermediate competence in the language. Although taking the recent fuctional/notational developments in English language into account, it is grammatically based and provides the student with the background he needs before beginning a first certificate course. Grammar is taught through lively and natural texts, oral exercises, role-play, and in the second half of each unit, creative written work. Throughout the course the student is encouraged to use the language he has learnt to express his own ideas in discussion and composition work.
