Besides the technical aspects of form and function, I discovered the differences in pacing, intensity, and urgency. With songwriting, beat, tempo, rhythm, rhyme, chords, keys, so many aspects demanded extra attention. Outside my comfort zone, I relied upon several reference manuals to create... possibilities.
While I did record demos of these works to use as a guide, I am not a singer by profession. My default setting is writer, not performer. Therefore, I present to you the seeker, the speaker, the singer, the performer, these messages from the first half of my life. I wish you well in your interpretation.
