To Feel Everything and Nothing
0 - Default Title
Description
To Feel Everything and Nothing is a raw and honest poetry collection that stares into the hollow eyes of grief. It is written by a human trafficking survivor and explores themes of trauma, grief, loss, and faith. The author's healing journey is fraught with deep loss, profound revelations, and, ultimately, freedom from the chains of memory.
"All I want to do is scream. I want to scream until my voice cracks and my lips bleed, then maybe I will feel something. I want to scream until I recognize the sound of my voice and not this unfamiliar noise that proceeds out of my mouth every time you drop a penny for my thoughts. I want to scream like a hiker who has reached the peak of her journey. I want to remind myself that I am alive. I want to disturb the world with the announcement of my existence. I want to scream, but every time I open my mouth, I am met with the sound of my lungs struggling to remember how to breathe."
