La Ley is definitely bringing things back to the roots of their music with their latest album, UNO. The three remaining members, Beto Cuevas, Mauricio Clarveria, and Pedro Frugone, have shed their old skin giving us a simpler more minimalistic version of La Ley while still retaining their alternative rock edge. This album was produced by Humberto Gatica (producer of Invisible) and recorded in Los Angeles. La Ley's sponsorship by Mountain Dew and Doritos has helped the group gain mainstream status. UNO will take La Ley into the next level due to the musical direction of the album. Certified Latin Gold by the RIAA. (6/01)
