The course covers the most important problems in the history of international relations in the period from the seventeenth century up to early XX century. The course content includes the main stages of development of international relations, highlighting the main events of the foreign policy history of the leading states of the world. Special attention is paid to the role of diplomacy, its features, methods and means of conducting foreign policy. Course considers peculiarities of International relations due to Westphalia, Vienna, and Versailles-Washington systems. There were considered key problems of this period as "Congress system", "Eastern Question", "Unification of Germany and Italy", and role of European states in solution of these issues. For a more complete assimilation and control consolidation of material by students, test materials are included in this course. Hand-outs may also be used to develop individual and creative work skills and at exams preparations. In general this course meets to program and requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science and can be recommended for students of "International Relations" major.
