A small piece of land, some trees, a dilapidated warehouse, uninhabited, villa-style building nearby. This is not just a place for sophisticated architecture. But in the midst of this seemingly unassuming place near Rome felt Karl Lagerfeld with the camera an extraordinary building called "La Casa Albero Nella Pineta di Fregene" after. It was built in 1967 by the architect Perugini, for some time it is empty. This experiment is inserted into a group of trees. As human habitation, the building seems rather inappropriate: The wood-concrete and glass structure consists of a single large room, there are almost no doors, even the toilet is visible from below. Lagerfeld's book is more than a meticulous photographic architecture study this refined design. One might almost think that he had the ingenious building construction only used to paint constructivist own pictures with the camera.
