Tara Singh was one of the earliest Punjabi settlers in the United Kingdom, arriving in 1938. His life journey took him from an Indian village at the time of the British Raj to Kenya and onwards by ship to England. He raised seven children with his wife, Chanan Kaur, before retiring to his Indian farm in 1979. His story is one of many challenges, companionship and providing support to his fellow settlers, and ultimately the triumph of personal faith over adversity.
