Connective Tissue Stains

Connective Tissue Stains

0 - Default Title
Description
"Connective tissues develop from the mesenchyme. Most types of connective tissue consist of three elements: the cells, the fibers, and the amorphous ground substance, which the cells produce. The histological identification of the cells is based upon their appearance in areolar and loose tissues, the main 'packing' material in the adult. Connective tissue is the most abundant tissue and can be found all over the body. It offers organs and other body structures a protective and supportive framework. Stains are an integral part of routine histopathology and are commonly used in the diagnosis of various lesions and tumors. In this study we perused to collect more information on the various types of stains used to stain the different types of connective tissue components, and an attempt has been made to gain more insight into knowledge, applications, and also recent advances of connective tissue stains."
