The pianist Jan Lust has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, accompanist and orchestral keyboard player in concerts throughout Europe. This new 2CD set features JS Bach's music transcribed by often forgotten romantic composers. Jan has recorded the first disc on the latest Fagioli concert piano and the second disc on an historical Bechstein offering the listener a great opportunity to compare these two instruments. Jan is currently researching his doctorate in the arts at the LUCA School of Arts of the University of Leuven, where he had previously gained a double Master's diploma in piano and chamber music as well as a specialisation diploma in piano, studying under the American pianist Alan Weiss. Available at a special price, this 2CD set offers a wonderful selection of the works of JS Bach transcribed by Franz Liszt, Ferruccio Busoni, Alexander Siloti and even a work by Alessandro Marcello which was transcribed by Johann Sebastian Bach himself.
