It was the intention to have the work completed by the 15th of January. The delay was caused by the slow returns of Church information, and of other organizations, much of which has been unavoidably omitted, but will appear in a semi-annual supplement to the City Directory, issued in July of each year, giving the' changes of old, and, the names of new business firms, with those of others who may have made this city their home in the interim.
