The changes come in unexpected ways when she discovers that the "office with a view" is not only a sentient Lighthouse on a seemingly deserted island, but also the launching point for the self-development she's craved. There's a cat, a crow, and a swarthy old sailor of indeterminate origins. A tall, dark, and handsome stranger brings a larger mystery to the island that she finds she must solve to save all their lives, literally. And a little bit of magic. Just a tiny bit.
