Development of paediatric airway management has past a long way, through conventional laryngoscope, supraglottic devices to video assisted intubation. These developments demand updates of practitioner's knowledge and skills. The most important things in paediatric airway are to keep them clear and secure, to achieve and maintain good ventilation and oxygenation. The airway in children is affected by inherited and acquired pathological conditions such as congenital malformations, syndromes, infections, swelling, trauma and burns. Mortality and morbidity caused by failure airway management are still high. The author's aim is to review LMA, as a useful and powerful airway device for routine and emergency cases of pediatric airway management (unanticipated and cardio pulmonary resuscitation - CPR) and to highlight the role of LMA in the management of the anticipated difficult pediatric airway. Simple, timely and safely maintenance of airway for all children.
