La fête des fous. Bruegel redécouvert étudie la manière dont d'importants artistes ont traité l'héritage artistique du peintre Pieter Bruegel au cours de l'entre-deux-guerres et au-delà, avec des oeuvres d'entre autres James Ensor, Constant Permeke et Otto Dix. En parallèle, une série d'artistes contemporains se lance dans un dialogue avec l'oeuvre de Bruegel. Kasper Bosmans, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Jimmie Durham et d'autres artistes montrent ainsi que l'oeuvre de Bruegel n'a rien perdu de sa pertinence.

Feast of Fools. Bruegel Rediscovered explores the ways in which important artists handled Pieter Bruegel's artistic legacy in the period between and after the wars, with work of a.o. James Ensor, Constant Permeke and Otto Dix. At the same time, contemporary artists delve into the themes from Bruegel's work. Kasper Bosmans, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Jimmie Durham and many others thus demonstrate that Bruegel's work has lost none of its relevance.
