L'exposition in transfer - A New Condition explore la nature du changement et des états de transition. Elle s'interroge sur les enjeux majeurs qui nous poussent aujourd'hui à changer en tant que société. Quelle est la « nature » du changement, qu'est ce qui le motive, pourquoi est-il souvent entravé, et quels moyens peut-on employer pour y parvenir ? Comment pouvons-nous voir et redéfinir le changement non pas comme un compromis, une provocation ou une limitation personnelle, mais plutôt comme un don naturel, une qualité et une compétence ? Réunissant les contributions de dix-neuf artistes travaillant à l'intersection de l'art, de la technologie et de la science, l'exposition aborde ces questions en examinant le rôle que l'art peut jouer dans ces processus de transformation.
The exhibition in transfer - A New Condition seeks to explore the nature of change by asking which major themes are now compelling us to change as a society. What is the « nature » of change, what drives it, why is it often hampered, and what means can be employed to achieve it ? How can we see and redefine change not as a compromise, a provocation, or a personal limitation, but rather as a gift of our nature, a quality, and a skill ? Gathering the contributions of nineteen artists working at the intersection of art, technology, and science, the exhibition addresses these questions by considering what role art could play in this process of transformation.
