Description
Rise in sea level and dramatic climate change is the backdrop to this story. The temporary land link between Australia and Tasmania disintegrated during the lifetimes of Luka, a reluctant hero, and Gili, enchanting in her steadfast love for him. Long, long ago, these people were trapped by the sea. Two disruptive seductresses, Yileen and Nahkali, deeply affect relationships within the coastal Werri, Luka and Gili's clan, and the Yalambi mountain folk, Nahkali's clan. Interwoven is a present day story of researchers who explore a cave in Tasmania's south-west wilderness for evidence of human habitation.
