END is about the cost of knowing the metaphor "as a unit of understanding, not a unit of reality." "This is how qualities of experience come before objects and subjects. You do not grab a hot plate out of the oven and first think 'I should take my hand off this hot plate!' Your cells have conveyed signals to your brain, your brain conveys this to your mind and you are already acting in the appropriate way, that is, removing your hand from the plate. Maybe you drop it onto the floor but you have saved your skin. Only later do you form a narrative about this situation."
