The book presents the Shorin Ryu Karate taught by Tamayose Hidemi, 9th Dan Ryukyu Kobudo, 6th Dan Karate and founder of the RYUKYU KOBUDO TESSHINKAN KYOKAI, for the first time. This style of Shorin Ryu is characterized by the strong use of detailed hip movements and by the fact that it has been influenced by Kobudo - not the other way around, which is more common.
This book contains an overview of the history of Okinawan martial arts based on several sources as well as some comments about historical misconceptions about Okinawan martial arts.
This book presents the Naihanchi series, Passai Shô and Dai, Chintô and Kusanku Shô and their respective Bunkai. Furthermore it features a section on self defense and statistical and pattern analysis of Kata.
