Description
The objective of this book is to share the research experience that had the purpose of determining the relationship between communicative competence and academic performance of fourth semester students of Physical Education, recreation and sports training of the Universidad Nacional Experimental "Francisco de Miranda", Miranda municipality, Falcon state. Theoretically, it is based on Habermas' theory and the Theory of Communicative Action. Methodologically, it subscribes to the positivist paradigm, with a quantitative approach and field, descriptive and correlational characteristics. After analyzing the results obtained through the questionnaire addressed to the 7 professors of the UNEFM and the 13 students of the indicated semester, and in accordance with the specific objectives, the following is concluded: the communicative competence of the students is very deficient considering the university level they already have and taking into account that they are students who have passed basic subjects of the education career, where the command and understanding of the language is the basis of all university career process.
