The regional study offers an overview of the Malaysian education and vocational education system and its development over the past decades.
The country has been experiencing rapid economic development since the 1990s and is also politically one of the most stable nations in South East Asia. The second and third level education system has been extensively expanded in recent years and there are plans for the establishment of a homogeneous vocational training system. The development is characterised by various - in part contradictory - reform concepts.
The title is part of an international manual for vocational training, a reference volume for comparative vocational training research. It is aimed at academics and at vocational training practitioners.
