Symphonic Landscapes
By Gandalf
In 1990 multi-instrumentalist Gandalf, musically rather being a loner, literally jumps over his shadow, taking the challenge of composing and arranging an entire work for large orchestra as part of the "Vienna Music Summer"-Festival.
By compounding his guitar and keyboard works with the symphonic orchestral sound and merging various stylistic influences, Gandalf breaks the boundaries between classical and popular music. The studio recordings, as well as the world premiere at the Vienna Konzerthaus were realized in collaboration with the Orchestra of the United Stages Vienna, conducted by Caspar Richter.
