Description
Schubert set hundreds of poems by numerous authors to music in the 31 years of his life. In order to restore the original version of Schubert's works, editor Max Friedlaender worked through incorrect or intentionally altered versions, using manuscripts from various archives, to create an edition that is as true to the original as possible. This collection contains the best-known song cycles Die Schöne Müllerin op. 25 D795, Winterreise op. 89 D911 and Schwanengesang D957 as well as 34 other songs, all arranged for low voice.
