The German painter Frank Nitsche studied at the Dresden Academy alongside painters such as Thomas Scheibitz and Eberhard Havekost. His large-scale abstract works feature collisions of contours with colour fields, and complex intersections of line and pattern. Using a clean palette from neutral greys and taupes to blues and acidic greens, Nitsche's choices of colour are as precisely planned as his compositions. This title is published to accompany the exhibitions at Musee d'Art Contemporain de Strasbourg and the Fonds regionaux d'art contemporain (FRAC) Auvergne.
