The ambitious goal set in 2011 by the German Federal Government for the energy transition roadmap is, “to have 60% of the national energy demand covered with secure energy from renewable resources by 2050”. The innovational designs of buildings and districts by the Energy-PLUS Standard could contribute significantly to this common challenge.
