I'll Be Lightning is UK based, Australian born Liam Finn's solo debut album. His band betchadupa have previously released two critically acclaimed albums but this new album has been almost entirely written, played, engineered and produced by Liam at Roundhead Studios in Auckland. In just 3 sold-out shows a little over a month ago, Liam Finn gave Australian and New Zealand audiences a taste of something special, His one man shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland were invariably rewed as unique and exciting events. I'll Be Lightning features 14 new songs including the track 'Second Chance' which has been getting heavy JJJ and community radio support. Almost entirely written, played, engineered and produced by Liam Finn. The eco-friendly package has been provided by L.A based Kufala Recordings who have developed a 100% post-consumer recycled chipboard sleeve utilizing non-toxic soy based inks, plus a biodegradable (and smokeable) CD wrap that will hopefully one day replace the existing toxic, non-biodegradable, plastic shrink-wrap you find on many CD's and DVD's today, This is the very first time this packaging has featured on a commercially available CD in Australia.
