This research is based on the fundamentals of Variationist Sociolinguistics Theory, which proposes to analyze the relationship between language and society, defining linguistic variants as linguistic forms in variation within a community. It states that the linguistic system is a system of probabilities, since the predominance of one variant over another depends on groups of linguistic and non-linguistic factors such as age group, social class, ethnicity, gender, etc. The standard variety is both the one that has sociolinguistic prestige in the community and is conservative, while innovative variants are always non-standard and almost always stigmatized by community members.
