Mélanges offerts à Ola el-Aguizy

Ce volume de mélanges présente près d'une quarantaine d'articles offerts au Professeur Ola el-Aguizy par ses amis et collègues afin de lui témoigner leur considération pour sa contribution à l'égyptologie, aussi bien dans le domaine scientifique que dans les relations internationales qu'elle a su créer entre l'université du Caire et de nombreuses autres institutions académiques à travers le monde.
Professeur émérite à la faculté d'archéologie de l'université du Caire, où elle a fait toute sa carrière, Ola el-Aguizy a largement contribué à la formation de ses étudiants et au suivi de leurs recherches par sa rigueur scientifique. Devenue doyenne de la faculté, elle a pris la responsabilité du chantier de fouilles de l'université du Caire à Saqqara. Cette nouvelle expérience lui a permis de s'ouvrir à l'archéologie après avoir mené une carrière de philologue. Les contributions offertes dans ce volume reflètent cette double orientation.
This volume presents about forty articles offered to Professor Ola el-Aguizy by her friends and colleagues to express their respect for her contribution to Egyptology, whether in the scientific domain or in the international links she created between Cairo University and many other academic institutions across the world.
Emeritus Professor at the Cairo University Faculty of archeology in which she made all her career, Ola el-Aguizy greatly contributed to the formation of her students and to the mentoring of their research through her scientific strictness. Since she was Dean of the Faculty, she became responsible of the Cairo University's excavation concession in Saqqara. This new experience allowed her to immerse herself in archeology after having been a philologist. The contributions offered in this volume reflect this double orientation.
