Crop yield improvement

0 - Default Title
Description
There is no doubt that the soil and water resources for crop production are limited and cannot afford population demand. During last fifty years, different aspects of agricultural researches have been united to increase the crop yield in the world by about 2.5 times. Given the nutritional demand of population growth and also the need to provide better conditions for food access, it is expected that agricultural researchers association should repeat these achievements over the next 50 years. Therefore, identifying factors, which can cause more carbon fixation in plants, can help plant breeders and bio technologists. Another strategy is to increase productivity and production per area unit by optimizing of farming methods, which can be realized through the increase of carbon fixation and plant production, as well as optimizing photosynthetic partitioning pattern, so that the study and knowledge of plant physiological processes could be an effective tool for further utilization of production resources. The use of methanol as a physiological tool causes the increase of carbon content at the cellular level, and consequently plant production per area.
