Hope Christian Academy is rich with tradition in boy's basketball. They won back-to-back state championships in 1978 and 1979. Hope Christian Academy has financial problems. The school will shut down unless it receives some heavy donations. A man will donate five million dollars to the school if the boy's basketball team wins a state championship this year. That challenge seems to be an impossible one until Coach Matthews comes to town. Coach Matthews will say anything, yell at anybody, and do anything to make sure Hope Christian Academy wins that state title. His controversial tactics will send shock waves through the school, players, and parents and all the way up to the athletic director and school board. As Hope enters their make-or-break season, most of the players will go through trials and tribulations that will place their state championship run in jeopardy. Coach Matthews will almost stop at nothing to make sure that his basketball team will recapture the heart and soul of their school.
